Granite City High School Band Arts and Crafts Fair 2018

ST. Deject — This year, Granite Metropolis Days will highlight music as it never has before.

The annual St. Cloud festival — reborn afterward the Wheels, Wings & Water Festival disbanded in 2006 — volition characteristic music events spread over the iv days of the festival.

Saturday features local bands at a new event — the Eastward Side Street Fair — which runs from noon to nine p.m. on East St. Germain Street between Riverside Drive and Wilson Avenue. Kleis — who makes appearances at every issue during the 4-twenty-four hours festival — said his favorite event is the parade, which will follow the same route every bit last year.

The parade starts at Sixth Artery and twelfth Street North by St. Deject Hospital, goes southward on Sixth Avenue North to St. Germain Street, and then runs westward to 12th Avenue N past St. Cloud Public Library.

Another add-on this year is the Sta-Fit 5K9, where dogs are welcome to bring together their humans Saturday morning for the annual run/walk around the Lake George Neighborhood. The 5K begins at 8 a.g., followed past the 5K9 at viii:15 a.m., a 5K for people ages 65 and older at viii:45 a.m. and the 1K fun run for children ages 12 and younger at 9 a.m.

The festival also features some tried-and-true favorites such as:

 • The Lemonade Fine art Fair from 11 a.g. to 8:30 p.thou. Thursday at St. Cloud State University.

• Canoe trips sponsored by Beaver Isle Brewing Visitor on Friday afternoon.

• An all-you-tin-eat pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dominicus at St. Cloud Regional Airport.

• A children's fishing event from xi a.yard. to 2 p.chiliad. Sunday at Lake George.

• Kids activities from 11 a.m. to three p.m. Lord's day at Lake George.

• Fred Yiran African Arts Solar day featuring African drumming, trip the light fantastic, storytelling, panel give-and-take, arts and crafts and more than from noon to v p.g. Lord's day at Lake George.

It's not the Lemonade Art Fair without a glass of lemonade at St. Cloud State University.
